Photo-spiritualistic sessiun
This is my experimental project. I shoot films while traveling. Then I reload this film again into the camera and shoot a second of the old photographs on top. All these photos were shot on camera Olimpusmju2.
In my homeland in Moldova, people say that the souls of the dead always remain with us. They protect us, defend us, guide us…
After my dad died, I also began to feel this presence….
The idea of such a project with double exposure came.
In the old photographs, these are not my relatives. I buy these old photos at flea markets.
I cannot and do not want to control the process of the second frame. Everything happens blindly. This is the idea, as if the souls of these people from the past, in old photographs, talk to us. They are the ones controlling the process. It is like a spiritualistic, mystical sessiun.
